Unlock USB dongles

I'm looking for some forums on how to unlock my Huawei E1552 from Globe Telecom. I got this link where it provides me several ways on how to unlock it on my own. Fortunately I got an unlock code for my device. But unfortunately when I try to insert a different SIM on it, it doesn't ask me for an unlock code. I tried to modify some of its xml files but nothing helps...

I think this will work on those dongles you bought on year 2009 and below where upgrade on firmware is not yet available.

By the way, here is the link... http://www.sheeptech.com/how-to-unlock-huawei-usb-modem-for-free

Update: My quest to unlock my Globe Tattoo Huawei E1552 failed. Even changing its firmware failed. Good heavens it still works. Lesson learned: Don't buy usb dongles from Globe if you want to unlock it in the future or when it's warranty ends. I'll try my luck with my Sun Wireless Broadband USB Dongle.

You may check this link. This site contains the tools you need to unlock your Broadband USB Modems (except Huawei E1552 of Globe Tattoo as its firmware was customized by Globe themselves). Just browse...

Update again: I tried to unlock my Sun Broadband wireless Huawei E1550. I was able to key-in the Unlock code for the device. It worked! I could insert other sims there. But for some reasons, which I don't know, I can't send SMS to it using my Smart sim. I also noticed that the Firmware code is not used at all. I wonder...then I read this blog. From the steps it had enumerated, it says that I should update first the firmware of my device to be able to unlock the firmware by the Firmware code. The last step is to insert a different sim to the device to display the prompt for the Unlock code. Too late... but anyways, it is already open line... i hope I could send SMS here...

Well, that's it folks... hope it helps...

"Warning: Camera Failed" on your Samsung Galaxy phone

If you have installed any apps that uses your camera, then better sort them out. They may be the culprit that causes the warning message Camera Failed in your Samsung Galaxy phone. I don't know if it happens in other Android devices, but still this will serve as a precaution.  Camera Failed warning message normally happens when an app doesn't handle properly the camera, or never release its use in it after you close that app. In my case, I figured out that the security app I installed in my Samsung Galaxy W bugs my camera. This security app has a feature which you can remotely take photos on your phone, just using a web browser. I was so glad that it has this feature, not until when I am going to take a photo myself on the phone, it shows the warning message Camera Failed . It resolves by rebooting the phone, but after a while, its back.  I searched for some solutions in the web, and finally read about a post telling the users that a certain photo captur...

Do I make you proud?

Perks of being a faculty member in the College of Computer Studies in my Alma Mater, Lyceum of the Philippines University - Batangas, I have this privilege to attend the greatest event every graduating student dream to be in - the Dedication and Recognition Ceremonies. Just this morning started the event with a Thanksgiving Mass, then the main event continous. As the program gone by, I have witnessed a lot of things I should be proud of and be inspired. The stories of the students that tells us how hard the path they went to get through everything they earned. Some just settled to pass the course, others wished for an award but was given a better blessing. You'll hear stories that can either inspire you, or break you into pieces. The greatness of our program now was we have 5 students who got up to the stage to deliver their valedictory speech. And they would give out a hint of their life during the 3-minute alloted time. And all of a sudden, it came all through to me one they ...

Be vigilant in our online accounts

This is the reason why we need to be vigilant with our online accounts. This is very true if you also do purchases online. Good thing I have my 2.step google verification activated, and no credit cards yet. BPO agents and employees, take note. Read this article to see why. The story is kinda creepy. But I hope this will enlighten you about the importance of online security and selecting online companies to work with. Published with Blogger-droid v2.0.6
